Ask your employer about adding our other Voluntary Benefit Options:

Wellness Benefits

Wellness Care is your first line of defense for early diagnosis and treatment of medical problems.

Wellness Benefits are payments for certain screening tests designed to prevent or detect diseases as early as possible, when treatment is most likely to be successful – and less costly. Regular screening can detect many diseases and cancers in the early stages when they’re easier to treat.

Early detection and prompt treatment are keys to recovery. New technology has dramatically improved cancer survival rates, but technological advances can also mean higher costs for cancer treatment. Detecting and treating cancer in the early stages can help you recover quicker and can help keep treatment costs down.

With your Wellness Care through Benefits Connection, the benefit is paid directly to you unless you specify otherwise. That extra cash can come in handy, especially if you’ve had to miss work or pay for child care in order to visit the doctor for the screening.

Payroll Deducted Life Insurance

Personal Life Insurance products available through Benefits Connection offer an easy answer for you to help fill the life insurance gap. We offer a variety of voluntary Cash Value Life and Term Life Insurance products through the convenience of payroll deduction. And unlike traditional group coverage, you can take this coverage with you if your employment changes.

Bridge the gap with your own voluntary life insurance portfolio, to help get the financial protection you need for your stage in life. Benefits Connection is here for you.

Our Life Insurance helps provide financial security for your family and can be tailored to meet your needs.

Term Life Insurance offers a predictable way to help provide peace of mind for you and your family. It can
complement other life coverage to protect your loved ones during high-need years.

Universal Life Insurance provides adjustable death benefits and flexible premiums that accumulate cash value at current credited interest rates. This plan offers flexibility to meet your changing life insurance needs.

Whole Life Insurance offers a lifetime of permanent protection. As long as you meet the policy’s terms and conditions, it remains in force during the insured’s entire lifetime and provides level death benefits and premiums with guaranteed cash values.

Disability Insurance

You depend on your income to pay for housing, food, clothing, your children’s education – all the necessities of life. For most of us, a disability means not only difficulty meeting these financial obligations, but also increased out-of-pocket medical costs. Benefits Connection offers a variety of affordable disability income options to meet your needs.

For most people, a disability means not only difficulty meeting financial obligations, it also means increased medical costs. We can provide the income protection you need. With Benefits Connection, you are provided the income protection you need by helping you cover:

Mortgage payments, utility bills and other household expenses.

Food, clothing and other necessities.

Co-insurance.

Medical costs not covered under other plans, and travel and lodging expenses for treatment.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a tax-advantaged medical savings account available to you when you are enrolled in a high-deductible health plan. The funds contributed to an account are not subject to federal income tax at the time of deposit.

Unlike a flexible spending account (FSA), funds roll over and accumulate year to year if not spent. Your HSA is owned by you, which differentiates them from company-owned Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRA).

HSA funds may currently be used to pay for qualified medical expenses at any time without federal tax liability or penalty.

Health Reimbursement Account (HRA)

Your Health Reimbursement Account or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) is an employer-funded, tax advantaged health benefit plan that reimburses you for your out of pocket medical expenses and individual health insurance premiums. Using a Health Reimbursement Account yields tax advantages to offset health care costs.

Your employer sets the parameters for you Health Reimbursement Account, and unused dollars remain with your employer – they do not follow you to new employment.

Through health reimbursement arrangements, your employer will reimburse you directly after you incur approved medical expenses.

Advantages of HRAs include:

Contributions that employers make can be excluded from your gross income.

Reimbursements may be tax free if you pay qualified medical expenses.

HRAs may be offered in conjunction with other employer-provided health benefits.

You do not have to be covered under any other health care plan to participate, unlike (for example) a Health Savings Account (HSA) which requires a High Deductible Health Plan.

You can be reimbursed for a health care plan that meets your or your family’s’ specific needs, as opposed to a standard company plan.
